One of our favourite things about Croatia is how easy it is to combine beautiful beaches, historic towns, island adventures and a relaxing villa stay all in one holiday.
Some of our customers recently enjoyed a lovely villa stay just outside Dubrovnik, and it’s easy to see why this area makes such a fantastic option for a family break. 🏡💙

One of the great things about staying outside Dubrovnik is having the best of both worlds.
You’re within easy reach of lovely coastal resorts such as Cavtat and Mlini, where you’ll find beautiful clear waters that are perfect for swimming, while the spectacular city of Dubrovnik is close enough to explore.
And what a city it is! 😍
The UNESCO-listed Old City, surrounded by its famous medieval walls, is packed with history and character.
🎬 Game of Thrones fans can explore some of the famous filming locations.
🏛️ History lovers can delve into the fascinating stories behind the city.
📸 And even if neither of those are your thing, it’s pretty difficult not to be impressed by Dubrovnik’s beauty.
When we visited, we also took the cable car up above the city for a special celebration meal at a panoramic restaurant. The views over Dubrovnik and the Adriatic were incredible — and it made for a very memorable meal. 🥂✨
🚤 EXPLORE BY WATER
Another reason we love this part of Croatia is the opportunity to get out on the water.
Both Cavtat and Mlini have water taxi services, giving you an alternative way to travel between the resorts and Dubrovnik — and what better way to arrive than by boat with those incredible coastal views?
There are also plenty of opportunities to explore the nearby Elaphiti Islands.
You could simply take a day trip from the mainland, or, if you want to make your holiday a little more adventurous, stay on one of the islands and create your own multi-centre Croatian escape. 🏝️

🇺🇸✈️ FLYING TO THE USA? HERE’S A LITTLE AIRPORT HACK WORTH KNOWING!
Nobody wants to spend the first hour of their holiday standing in a huge immigration queue after a long-haul flight! 😴
But did you know there’s a FREE app that could help make arriving in the USA quicker and easier? 📱
It’s called Mobile Passport Control (MPC) and it’s provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
📱 HOW DOES IT WORK?
Before you travel, download the Mobile Passport Control app and create your profile.
When you land in the USA, you can use the app to:
✅ Enter your arrival details
✅ Answer the customs questions
✅ Take a photo
✅ Submit your information
✅ Then head to the designated MPC lane at participating airports
You still need your passport and you’ll still be processed by a CBP officer — but some of the information can be completed on your phone beforehand.
⏱️ WHY BOTHER?
CBP research has found that travellers using MPC report saving time, and it can be particularly useful when travelling as a family or group. Queues are usually very short to non-existant in MPC line 🙌
And the best part?
IT'S FREE! 🎉
There are just a couple of things to check before you rely on it — MPC is only available to eligible travellers and at participating US airports.
💡 OUR TIP: If you're heading to the States, download the app before you leave and check whether you're eligible and whether your arrival airport supports MPC.
It's one of those little bits of travel preparation that could make arriving at your destination just that bit smoother. 🇺🇸✨

🇲🇦 SPOTLIGHT ON MARRAKESH | WINTER SUN WITH A DIFFERENCE
This week, I’ve been swapping the UK for Marrakesh — and having the chance to experience this fascinating destination for myself.
At only around 3.5 hours from the UK, Marrakesh is a really accessible option for some winter sun. Temperatures are generally very warm year round, only dropping to around 20°C in December and January.
☀️ But Marrakesh isn't a beach holiday...
This is an inland destination, so if your ideal holiday involves stepping straight onto a sandy beach, this probably isn't the one for you.
But if you like a holiday that combines sunshine, culture, food, sightseeing and relaxation, Marrakesh has plenty to offer.
🕌 Explore the colourful Souks and Medina
🌿 Discover beautiful places such as Bahia Palace and The Secret Garden
🏔️ Take a trip into the Atlas Mountains, with spectacular scenery and waterfalls around an hour and a half away
🍽️ Enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine
🏨 Or simply relax by the pool at one of the city's fantastic resorts
For exploring the Medina and Souks, I'd recommend either an escorted tour or a local guide. It makes navigating the maze of streets much easier and also gives you a much better insight into the history and culture.
🌴 WHERE TO STAY?
For the most authentic experience, consider a Riad close to the centre of the Medina. These traditional properties are full of character and charm, although they often have less space for sunbathing and may not have a pool.
Alternatively, there are some excellent all-inclusive resorts within easy reach of the city.
This week, I'm staying at the Kenzi Club Agdal Medina — a 5-star resort with a 4.4/5 TripAdvisor rating.

This week, I’ve been swapping the UK for Marrakesh — and having the chance to experience this fascinating destination for myself.
At only around 3.5 hours from the UK, Marrakesh is a really accessible option for some winter sun. Temperatures are generally very warm year round, only dropping to around 20°C in December and January.
☀️ But Marrakesh isn't a beach holiday...
This is an inland destination, so if your ideal holiday involves stepping straight onto a sandy beach, this probably isn't the one for you.
But if you like a holiday that combines sunshine, culture, food, sightseeing and relaxation, Marrakesh has plenty to offer.
🕌 Explore the colourful Souks and Medina
🌿 Discover beautiful places such as Bahia Palace and The Secret Garden
🏔️ Take a trip into the Atlas Mountains, with spectacular scenery and waterfalls around an hour and a half away
🍽️ Enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine
🏨 Or simply relax by the pool at one of the city's fantastic resorts
For exploring the Medina and Souks, I'd recommend either an escorted tour or a local guide. It makes navigating the maze of streets much easier and also gives you a much better insight into the history and culture.
🌴 WHERE TO STAY?
For the most authentic experience, consider a Riad close to the centre of the Medina. These traditional properties are full of character and charm, although they often have less space for sunbathing and may not have a pool.
Alternatively, there are some excellent all-inclusive resorts within easy reach of the city.
This week, I'm staying at the Kenzi Club Agdal Medina — a 5-star resort with a 4.4/5 TripAdvisor rating.
